PASIG

TANDANG SORA

In 1997, Power Up took a step closer to the public, opening up a branch close to the Ortigas Business District Power Up Pasig ( link to pics?), now called Silver City. Power Up Pasig had a long and winding road, starting at the Rizal Racquet Club in the Capitolyo of Pasig, Shaw Boulevard. We made so much noise about climbing there that to date, people still think we're there. We have moved Silver City Mall at the Frontera Verde Drive cor Julio Vargas (behind SM Hypermarket C5, diagonal to Tiendecitas).

Power Up in Silver City Mall, Pasig City, brings indoor climbing to new heights. In this gym, we hold 5 top rope lines that tower up to 46 feet. Given the space offered by the mall, this gym was designed to maximize on the experience of climbing. The limited climbing wall shapes are compensated for by the length of time per climb and the quality of the wall. Power Up Pasig imported a 3D climbing wall from Singapore in 1997 and to date has reconfigured this wall 4 times, each time bring a new dimension of movement top the climber. When you move over a fully trextured surface which bulges and sinks, then you capture movement over stone. Of all the climbing gyms in the Philippines, nothing comes closer to climbing on actual rock, than at Power Up Silver City Mall.

With the height of Silver City, rapelling and systems training ( multi pitch lead climbing and top belay training ) are offered. Base jumping?... uhm not quite :)
